My Review of Zanzibar Bouncer

Toys R Us

The Zanzibar Bouncer is a perfect way to keep your little one comfortable, cozy, and content. Two reclining positions, an adjustable headrest, and a contoured design provide total support for your baby's back, sides, and head. A removable toy bar features three plush toys that are detachable a...

Pros: Comfortable, Cute

Cons: Piece of junk, Poor Design, Boring

Best Uses: Naptime

Describe Yourself: First Time Parent

In a nutshell? This bouncer stinks. Sure, it is very cute and it is a neutral color, however those are the only positives to it. I wish I kept the box and everything so that I could return it.

We have had this for 2 months now. The music grew progressively softer and softer and now it does not even come on. The vibration still works (thankfully!) but now you have to press the button more than once to get it to come on (and yes, this is even after putting in two sets of new batteries).

The toys are way too far away to be of any benefit to my baby other than he likes to stare at them.

I had read the negative comments and thought that this couldn't be that bad. I opted to spend my money on it because I really liked the design. This is not worth the $50 I spent on it and I am super disappointed with this product.

My Mom purchased the cheapest bouncer at Babies R Us (don't remember the name, but it is blue and has turtles and frogs on it) and I wish I had gotten that one instead.

Bottom line: Skip on this mess of a bouncer.

Happy Baby

Here is a picture of one of Ethan's many alligator-themed outfits. Also pictured are some awesome gator slippers that we found on clearance at babies R us. Now Ethan matches Daddy with huge green slippers. =)

Happy baby! Need I say more? Before and after this, he was screaming... I have learned to live in the now and cherish each good moment and know that the bad moments will soon be over.

Rob, can we start on child #2 now?

2nd weekend of February baby pictures update

Sometimes, Ethan gets this "bohemian" look in his eyes. He seems like a "free spirit" so when he gets these looks, we like to call him "Mateo" in honor of fellow-free-spirit, Matthew McConaughey. Maybe one day Ethan will aspire to live on an island and run around shirtless on the beach while playing bongos. Oh, a mother can only hope...

Here is Ethan in his carseat. This was from one of those BEAUTIFUL and unusual warm February days we just had. We were able to go for a couple of walks through our neighborhood in his stroller. He was okay for a while, but he got bored quickly.

Here is "Hercules" doing some baby push-ups. Ethan has been a strong baby since birth and he has some mighty impressive neck and leg muscles. He is seen here on his changing pad atop of what was once our dining room table. FIERCE!!

So I am no where near updating this as much as I would like, but I thought I would update with two new pictures taken today.
